21st Annual Gala Wrap-Up

On Friday, April 4th, 2014, KICKSTART KIDS held it’s 21st Annual Gala at the River Oaks Country Club. KICKSTART KIDS’ founders Gena and Chuck Norris hosted a record-breaking evening. Attendees, familiar and new, helped raise over $800,000 to support the growing mission of saving and changing children’s lives.

Long-time KSK supporter Bernie Kopell, well known for his role as Dr. Adam Bricker on the hit TV show “The Love Boat”, received the “Team Spirit Award” for over two decades of support and service to KICKSTART KIDS.

Laura and Ed Norman, proud parents of 5 KSK students and alumni, were also honored with the ”Be the Difference Award” for their outstanding support and commitment to the organization. The Norman’s daughter’s, Chelsea, Lily, and Emma (all pictured above) performed at the event with an extraordinary fan kata performance for attendees.

This year’s Gala has been touted as one of the most enjoyable and beautiful in the history of KSK. Hats off to Carlos Blandino for putting together such a successful event. An enormous thank you goes out to Linda McIngvale and her team at A Memorable Event for orchestrating a beautiful and elegant atmosphere, Phyllis Williams for her support as Auction Chair, Courtney and Jason Fertitta for Co-Chairing the event and to all of the KSK staff and supporters who continue to “be the difference.”
