KICKSTART KIDS CHUCK NORRIS 80^th BIRTHDAY VIDEO MESSAGE CHALLENGE OFFICIAL RULES

Send Chuck Norris a Birthday Message!

Wish Chuck Norris a Happy Birthday by making a donation of $25 or more to Kickstart Kids and entering your Happy Birthday Video Message in our Contest. After you complete your donation, you will also be sent a link to the virtual Chuck Norris 80th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, April 24, 2021, where the grand prize winner of the Birthday Video Message Challenge will be announced.

Kickstart Kids will review all qualifying videos and will select ONE VIDEO as the most creative 80^th Birthday Video Message. The winner will receive a limited-edition, signed, commemorative Chuck Norris Black Belt and a 10-minute virtual conversation session to talk personally with Chuck and Gena Norris. 

By submitting Your video, You agree to these Official Rules. If you do not agree, please do not enter this Contest.  

1.    CONTEST PERIOD. Submit your Birthday Video Message online starting on March 15, 2021. Your video message must be received by 11:59 pm CDT on April 16, 2021 (Deadline has been extended to April 19, 2021 11:59 pm CDT)

2.    HOW TO ENTER. Complete the online entry form and upload your video through our interface after you make a donation of $25 or more to Kickstart Kids. You can submit as many videos as you like – but each entry must be separate and must be accompanied by a separate donation to Kickstart Kids.

3.    ENTRANT ELIGIBILITY. To enter this Contest, you must be a legal resident of the U.S. and be at least eighteen (18) years old. Employees of Kickstart Kids or Top Kick Productions and relatives or business associates of Chuck and Gena Norris are not eligible to enter the Contest or to win the Prize.

4.    REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR VIDEO.

Your video must be all original material, and no longer than 30 seconds.

• Do not include any copyrighted material (such as music, video clips, or graphics).
•  Please keep it clean and family friendly --  

• No swearing or inappropriate language, images, or sounds.
• No violence, weapons, alcohol, drugs, or illegal activity should be shown or promoted.
• Video cannot be offensive or hateful to any group (including ethnic, racial, gender, or religious groups).
• Please do not include any confidential personal information – your video may be posted publicly.   
• You must be able to upload your Video at the specified link.

Any video in violation of these guidelines will be disqualified.

5.    LICENSE AND RIGHT TO USE YOUR VIDEO.

By entering this Contest, You grant Kickstart Kids a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free non-exclusive right and license to post your video on the Internet and on other public media, and to use, display, reproduce, distribute, edit and create derivative works of your video, alone and with other materials, for any purpose, including promoting Kickstart Kids and honoring Chuck Norris and his family. You also grant Kickstart Kids the right to use your name and image, as well as the name and image of anyone who appears in your video, in connection with the Contest and the licensed uses of your video. You represent that any person shown in your video has given you permission to enter the video in this Contest and to grant all these rights. You also agree that Kickstart Kids can authorize or license others to use all these rights as well.

You will not be given any compensation or credit for your video or any uses of your video. It is up to Kickstart Kids and its licensees to decide whether or not to use your video, and whether or not to attribute the video to you.  

This license does not have an end date. This license is non-exclusive, so you can still use your video and grant licenses to others as well. Please note: you are not authorized to use, or allow anyone else to use, the name or image of Chuck Norris or Gena Norris, or the name of Kickstart Kids, in any commercial or promotional way.    

6.    JUDGING AND WINNER DETERMINATION.

Between April 17-22,2021, the Kickstart Kids Executive Team will judge all eligible video messages using the criteria below:

• Creativity and Originality – 75%
• Performance/Entertainment Quality – 25%

The video message with the highest total score based on the judging criteria will win. Any tie-breaker will be judged by Gena Norris, according to the above criteria. 

7.    PRIZES. 

One Grand Prize Winner will be announced on April 24, 2021, during the virtual Chuck Norris 80th Birthday Celebration. The winner will receive a limited-edition, signed, commemorative Chuck Norris Black Belt and a 10-minute virtual session to talk personally with Chuck and Gena Norris. Retail value: approximately $200 (with priceless memories). The virtual conversation session will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.

Anyone who donates $25 or more to Kickstart Kids when submitting a video will receive a link to attend the virtual Chuck Norris 80th Birthday Celebration on Saturday, April 24, 2021. The link will be sent by email to the email address provided by the submitter. The email will be sent a couple of days before the April 24, 2021 Celebration.

8.    CONDITIONS.

Kickstart Kids reserves the right to modify the Contest or disqualify any entrant if fraud, misconduct or technical failures threaten the integrity of the Contest, or if this Contest cannot be held as planned for any reason, or if the prize or any part of it cannot be awarded as planned. Kickstart Kids is not responsible for incomplete, late, damaged, or non-received entries or for any problems related to the electronic submission of the video, failure to receive or be able to use a link to the Birthday Celebration, or for the operation of the Contest. Any video that does not comply with the Official Rules will be rejected and not considered for participation in the Contest. The operation of the Contest, including the selection of the winning video, is in the sole discretion of Kickstart Kids.

9.    ENTRANT REPRESENTATIONS, RELEASES, AND INDEMNIFICATION.

Each entrant represents that the video submitted is the Entrant’s own work and complies with the Official Rules. By participating in the Contest, each Entrant releases and agrees to hold Sponsor, Top Kick Productions, Chuck and Gena Norris, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and their respective affiliates, family members, employees and agents harmless from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death and bodily injury, and property, relating to or arising directly or indirectly from participation in this Contest or acceptance or use of a Prize. Each entrant agrees to indemnify Sponsor, Top Kick Productions, Chuck and Gena Norris, their respective affiliates, family members, employees and agents from any and all damages, liability and expenses (including attorney’s fees) resulting or arising from any claims, demands or legal proceedings arising from any video submitted by the Entrant (such as a claim that your video infringes a copyright), or from the operation of the Contest or the award or use of any Prize. This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
