Special Guest Music Performance by Jack Ingram

Signature Theme

"My name is Jack Ingram. And I play country music.”

American country music artist Jack Ingram will be performing at our 25th Anniversary Gala. Music entertainment has been graciously donated by Keith and Alice Mosing.

Texas-based modern-day honky tonker Jack Ingram’s recording career has spanned more than 20 years and he has maintained a reputation for uncompromising, personally charged song craft and energetic, charismatic performances, earning him prominent stature in a prestigious tradition of iconoclastic singer-songwriters.

Ingram was named Best New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music in 2008, despite the fact that he’d already been rocking honky tonks, theaters, and stadiums for a decade and a half by then. He began writing songs and playing gigs while studying psychology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and quickly earned a rabidly devoted audience while performing high-energy live shows in bars and roadhouses throughout his home state.

Ingram is currently nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Country Song for his collaboration with long-time friend Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall writing “Tin Man.” The emotionally raw song, which Lambert recorded and released on her 2016 album The Weight of These Wings, is also up for Best Country Solo Performance.

The Texas native was born and raised in the Woodlands, attended Southern Methodist University, is an alum of Camp Longhorn, and holds a yellow belt in karate. Ingram now lives in Austin with wife Amy and their children Ava Adele, Eli, and Hudson.
