See what Kickstart Kids is all about at a local Belt Ceremony!

Earning a belt in the martial arts is a graduation to a new level of physical prowess, responsibility, and expectation. The trust that develops between the students and the instructors elevates to a new level of expectation and the sense of belonging to the history and family of the martial arts continues to take root.

To this end, the belt ceremony offers parents and friends a brief insight into the hard work and dedication students commit to their day-to-day training as well as practice during their personal time. From sitting quietly in rank order on the floor to executing physical skills, there is a feeling of unity of mind and purpose as well as pride and achievement from the entire student-base.

It is a presentation. It is a celebration. This applies, not only to the guests but the students as well, punctuating the overall lesson that commitment and hard work are the building blocks for success in the classroom and in life.

It is a focal point to highlight and celebrate mastery of skill and responsibility for personal behaviors and choices and the realization that how we treat each other has a systemic effect throughout society.

Please join our Kickstart Kids family in celebrating with these young people their achievement this semester as they welcome the new challenges that await.
